A scope template is a scope that can be re-used by many users, for different clients and different rate cards. These templates mean that users no longer need to scope projects of the same type again and again from scratch. Using the templates feature, specific users can set up base templates for different project types, giving users a head start on scopes - speeding up the process even more.
These templates can be created in 2 ways:
1. How to create a scope template from an existing scope
Click into the scope you want to use from My Scopes as the template.
1. Go to 'Add Item'
2. Select 'Mark as template'
The scope will now appear with a new icon, and in the 'Templates' tab in My Scopes.
2. How to create a scope template from scratch
Once logged in, from My Scopes, go to 'Create'
1. Select 'Template' from the dropdown
2. Complete the scope detail fields (suggest using an agency/company standard ratecard and client)
3. Add your items - deliverables/fixed fees/stages as you would when creating your normal scope.
4. You may wish to populate your template with components tailored to the business baseline for this type of scope to give users a starting point
When you have added all of your deliverables or fixed fee items, components and third party costs that make the standard'
