In the ScopeBetter platform there are two ways to upload components. Components can be uploaded into the Library individually or in bulk via our component uploader.
A scope user is able to add individual components by navigating to the Library tab and clicking on 'Add Item' and selecting Component.
After you have clicked on Component the a pop-up form will appear for you to complete. All required fields will be highlighted.
Once you have completed the required fields click 'Create component' which will be orange in colour
Scope users are also able to upload multiple components into scope library. In order to do so you need to open Library page. On Library page click (...) -> Upload Components ( 1 )
On 'Upload Library components' popup user will see:
( 1 ) 'Upload Template' will allow users to generate library components upload file based on existing rate cards
( 2 ) 'Instruction Manual' will open a short but detailed manual about how to create/fill file for components upload into the scope app
( 3 ) 'Browse' button - opens the upload file dialogue window.
( 4 ) 'Validate' button - after the file was uploaded user needs to validate it. If the import file has invalid data error message will be displayed and the user will download upload file with a colour indication of invalid data
After the 'Upload Template' link was clicked the user will be able to generate and download file for the selected rate card. That file will contain all required data for the creation of a valid components upload file. In order to do so user needs:
( 1 ) select any rate card from the dropdown menu. That rate card will be used for uploading components.
( 2 ) click 'Generate Template' and download the generated file.
( 3 ) if for the user is unclear how to upload file should be filled, click 'Generic template' and example file will be downloaded. Do not use this file for import, it is created only for demonstration purposes.
( 4 ) user is able to return to 'Upload Library components' popup by clicking 'Go back to Upload a Template'
After the import file was successfully validated, rate card and all imported components will be displayed on popup. Click the' Upload' button and all components now will be available in your library.
Upload components feature is a convenient and fast way to add multiple components to the scope system by the user.
